Teacher's Class  On-Line Study

Welcome to the Kingdom Life Study Page.  Read the study content, then answer the questions in the right column.  An answer key has not been provided, simply answer the best you can, grabbing your answers from the material presented, and the word of God. Please be sure to read the reference scripture of each section, prior to beginning the section, thus you will be able to simply follow the lesson, having already gained a basic understanding  of the text.  To have a successful study, you'll need a few things:  a comfy area in which to work , your bible, and a notebook. You should write down questions you may have (which your pastor can  answer), and your thoughts, as you study the word.

  KINGDOM CULTURE

Culture is those "customs, arts, social institutions, and achievements of a particular nation, people, or other social group", and these days there is literally a "culture" for everything, from nationalities (i.e., black culture, hispanic culture,) to habits (street racing culture, weed culture), and if you are not careful, you might start to believe these cultural vibes have validity.  The truth of the matter is actually quite different.

While God is completely aware of where and how you were brought up,  he fully expects that you will seek him, and find him (Jeremiah 29:13), because before he formed you in the belly (Jeremiah 1:5) he knew you; and before you emerged from the womb, God had already sanctified you (set you apart), and ordained you as a prophet  -  to the nations!  And all of this God pre-destined (Jeremiah 29:11) for you, that you should walk in it.

It's no wonder, the Apostle Peter writes to the  Christians throughout Pontus, Galatia, and Asia, who are enduring much persecution to encourage and strengthen them as to their identity in Christ, and how we are to walk in it.  Because our identity is in Christ (this point is highlighted in Chapter 2, and forms the foundation for this study), our identity is also how we present to the world, therefore, how we conduct ourselves, as God's very own, becomes of extreme importance to the God who has called us "...out of  the darkness, and into his marvellous light."  So then, Kingdom Culture is about identity, specifically your identity in Christ, and how you demonstrate the culture daily.

Know your Identity

In the 2nd Chapter of 1 Peter, Peter encourages believers' in purity and holiness.  The Apostle compares believers' to "lively  stones" in a spiritual house, an holy priesthood to offer up spiritual sacrifices, acceptable to God by Jesus Christ.

Christ, being the chief corner stone (1Peter 2:6), elect and precious who becomes a stone of stumbling, and a rock of offence to the disobedient, who stumble at the word.

    BUT NOT YOU!

"But ye are a chosen generation, a royal priesthood, an holy nation, a peculiar people; that ye should shew forth the praises of him who hath called us out of darkness into his marvellous light."
